How long does a vitamin injection or IV take?
Minimal amount of time- typically 5-10 seconds as it is a very quick procedure, making it both quick and effective.
Are there any risks from a vitamin injection or IV?
There are side effect to all therapies. You must be considered a good candidate for this therapy. Otherwise, generally speaking, the risks are minimal. The most common risk is minimal bruising/pain temporarily at the injection site.
When will I experience the benefits?
Most patients notice benefit within several hours and can last up to a week after your injection. Some patients notice the benefits almost immediately and even comment they can taste the vitamins that were injected into their muscle!
Can I overdose on vitamins?
In this case, no. GEM SCIENCE uses water-soluble vitamins for injections.
The vitamins that have a potential for possible toxicity are fat soluble vitamins, notably vitamins A, D, E and K. Of those, we only use vitamin D in patients who have a confirmed vitamin D deficiency and require supplementation. But otherwise, for all of our routine injections there is no need to worry about adverse effects to accumulation of too much vitamins in your system. Water soluble vitamins in your body will naturally be excreted as they are metabolized.
